My name is Justine, and I'm a pyrography artist based in Wisconsin, USA. The goal of JW Solid Burns is to create something—or a memory—that you will love to hang inside or outside your home. From cutouts the size of fridge magnets, table coasters, and welcome or witty signs, to completely unique pieces, I want to collaborate with you to bring your vision to life.

For as long as I can remember, crafting and creating with various mediums has brought me joy and peace of mind. Every project starts as a blank slate: an idea of what it will become, with its own set of simple or complex creative challenges. But you keep going! In the end, you're left with something completed, proud of the time you spent on it, and the lessons learned along the way.

Like many others during the pandemic, I spent time discovering new hobbies or rediscovering old ones. That year, I found my way to learning pyrography—the art of wood burning. Combining the relaxing aroma of burning wood with my love for drawing and the ability to color with fire healed the youthful artist within me, a part of myself that had been forgotten while the world moved so fast around me. Since then, I have been perfecting my craft and incorporating different mediums into my work.
